I was introduced to knife making by my high school shop teacher. Although unaware at the time, he ignited what would become my lifes passion for my hobby of custom knife making.
Being an avid hunter and outdoorsman, I have always been quick to take the advantage of any opportunity to spend time in the game abundunt wooded areas surrounding my Kentucky home. The more I spent in the outdoors, the more I realized the importance of having quality tools at my side. Lacking confidence in factory made knives, I set out to improve the design and functionality of the more important knives I used.
As I sharpened my knife making skills, I was fortunate to have met many of the fine local knife makers and metallurgists. One of the the fine craftsmen Ive been associated with, Gil Hibbon, has proven to have the largest influence on my work, teaching me the surefire methods for heat treating many types of steel. I owe a great amount of gratitude to Gil for his patience and advice throughout the years.
All of the knives you will see on this website are my own creations, with emphasis on design to better equipt a hunter. On many occasions, I have worked with family members and friends to meet specific needs of the knifes owner. My knives are primarily made from ATS-34,154CM,S30V and Damascus steel. All of my knives come razor sharp in their own custom, hand made leather sheath, all backed for full lifetime warranty.
